Sleeping Giant Writers Festival 2008

Welcome to the Sleeping Giant Writers Festival 2009

The largest literary festival in Northern Ontario, held in the shadow of Thunder Bay's Sleeping Giant, the Sleeping Giant Writers Festival brings premier Canadian authors to the city for a weekend of workshops, readings, and interaction with festival attendees.

This year the festival will take place on August 28th, 29th and 30th, 2009, at the Fort William Historical Park.

Handouts Available Online

If you want to get ahead of the game, handouts are becoming available on the Authors page. Check the workshop description for a download link. If you don't see one, handouts aren't available yet. Downloading handouts is optional, and paper copies will be available at each workshop.

Peter Mansbridge

This year we're delighted to announce that Peter Mansbridge will be making a special presentation on Sunday, August 30th, after the festival workshops have concluded. Come and see the news leader of the country live and in person! Peter Mansbridge's presentation is included with a full registration and will cost $5 for the general public.
